The knife sinks deep <br />into his chest. <br />White-hot crimson <br />flows like a waterfall. <br />He has yet to grimace, <br />the cruel smile <br />still painted on his face. <br /> <br />I was his puppet, <br />he was my master. <br />Stone cold, <br />living only for disaster. <br /> <br />But there was something <br />that he'd overlooked... <br /> <br />Ever since I was born, <br />I've been holding a dagger. <br />I was a porcelain princess, <br />unaware of my power. <br />Darkness consumed me, <br />until I had no choice. <br /> <br />The flames rose <br />and down I fell, <br />into his belly, the hungry <br />Dragon. <br /> <br />Inside there lived a subdued Queen, <br />drugged and broken. <br />I befriend her, <br />she befriends me. <br />She hands me a gift, <br />telling me she's <br />been saving it for me. <br /> <br />I accept the gift <br />wrapped in flowing bright satin; <br />it was a dagger. <br /> <br />Only then did I fully realize <br />that this Queen <br />is me.<br /><br />The Queen's Dagger<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-queen-s-dagger/
