We are the world; we are the team <br />Time long ago dimmed our gleam <br />Shelling the dwelling -thorns on a bent cactus <br />When greedy eyes bleed with malpractice <br />The louder the voice, the higher the status <br />Bad blood-and-guts, -stabbing cuts are gratis <br /> <br />Every morning, midday and sunset <br />Summer does surrender and undress <br />And the fall of it all, the loud calls <br />So hard to climb over wintry walls <br />At nightfall when all alone with no tranquility <br />Absent are: stability, gentility and humility <br /> <br />My soul far removed from tranquil……… <br /> Or be it forever very thankful! <br />My heart jumps not with joy <br />Skips a beat: To predict the next ploy <br />Has love worn out its white masque? <br />When every nuances taken to task <br /> <br />Last time I looked up the word perfection <br />- Sacrifice did not cross my direction- <br />Juliet’s forever lies beside her Romeo <br />My human poison the nerves of polio <br />Perfect love lived on a shade of time <br />Time on my side, yet void of rhyme <br /> <br />Othello’s jealousy daily fears spread <br />His communion my hardened bread <br />We can all be masters; the evil masters <br />Can be truly followed into awful disasters <br />Which are never fair and but always proud <br />Doubts at will, my will, is always loud <br /> <br />From the good book revelation doctrine <br />The three witches double my guilty shrine <br />It’s by no accident design the beast curses <br />Through the makeup of my fallen six verses <br />I am as they guild ridden led to slaughter <br />My abyss the final entry on this blotter <br /> <br />We Are The World; A Tragic Overture! <br /> <br />May 19,2013 <br />Copyright Leaking Pen 2013<br /><br />Leaking Pen<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/we-are-the-world-2/
