Three Generations <br />One softly, lovingly observing the Other Two <br />The little one with eyelashes longer than imaginable <br />And eyes as large and blue as the ocean <br />As she totes her beach toys onto the brown-sugar sand <br />While her mother’s long, curly golden locks blow gently in the breeze <br />And her admiring “Gammy” is awestruck by the pair <br />Three Generations <br />All so grateful for Cardiff By The Sea <br />A girls' day of Heaven on Earth at the shore <br />For it is at the beach where one loses herself <br />Renews her spirit, then tucks it into her beach towel <br />And carries it with her into the sunset <br />While three sets of footprints in the sand are then made <br />One With Shore<br /><br />Holly Jamestone<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/one-with-shore/
