In full and undenied exurberance, <br />They came from out of the woodwork... <br />Displaying their abilities, <br />To charge with credit given... <br />A capability to get in deep debt. <br />While surrounded by protected valuables, <br />Once prized with a shine... <br />But upon them dust has collected. <br /> <br />And now with those temptations tasted, <br />To admit to themselves... <br />The taste of regret stays and does not leave, <br />They now choose to fix their eyes on others... <br />Who patiently removed their obstacles, <br />With a grievng endured to slowly overcome... <br />A weeping in public and humiliation done. <br />To hear it openly confessed, <br />By those suppressed by bills and loans unpaid... <br />Why it was that others who did not chase the rat race, <br />Have been awarded with a peace of mind? <br /> <br />While those perceiving their rainbow chasing days, <br />Has left them terrified with no sleep to get. <br />And reminded with no exit to escape. <br />Or a moment of rest away from creditors, <br />Who hunt them like predators.... <br />To remind them on a daily basis they are just prey. <br />That's all. <br />That's it. <br />Nothing more.<br /><br />Lawrence S.
