I would first glance over <br />my most treasured photograph <br />gather my thoughts <br />then jot down a few paragraphs (to talk about this lady) <br />I might go into details <br />about why I treasure her picture <br />fill out five or six lines <br />describing her physical features....or maybe not. <br />I might just dot my I's <br />make sure my T's are crossed <br />use metaphoric terms <br />to keep her facebook friends lost (because she likes her privacy) <br />then again I might just admit <br />writing isn't my thing <br />I gave it a shot but <br />all birds can't sing, <br />and even though I was awful <br />with this paper and pen, <br />I still came out a winner <br />because the lady in this pic' <br />is somewhere smiling.<br /><br />Bernard Snyder<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/if-i-could-write-3/
