Beauty's Youth is <br />most times <br />intoxicated <br />with the Mirrors Image <br />blinding her to true <br />and false admirers. <br /> <br />Beauty Is <br />most times suffers from <br />lack of effort <br />because her gift <br />is given rather <br />than earned <br />or for some <br />it is a hindrance <br />because <br />blondes <br />are often <br />judged <br />upon their looks <br />and few are given <br />credit <br />without over-weening proof <br />of their competence <br />and often never. <br /> <br />Beauty yearns for Love <br />but her contenance <br />blocks its arrival <br />til at some point <br />hope is lost; <br />sycophants bore <br />and depression <br />arises <br />becoming Beauty's <br />Special Curse <br />accompanied by <br />envy from others- <br />their disdain <br />and <br />their deceitfulness <br />til beauty <br />some times <br />settles for <br />the protection <br />some strong one <br />can afford <br />or she begins to hide out <br />of her own accord <br />especially as the face lines <br />or the body goes. <br /> <br />Others still <br />welcome Beauty's Loss <br />content with <br />domesticity <br />in the place <br />of loves lost <br />from those <br />who over time <br />chase other <br />beauteous faces. <br /> <br />No, friend <br />beauty's lot <br />is not a kind lot <br />even as the Envious <br />chase her blondeness <br />which they curse <br />while paradoxically <br />seeking <br />it relentlessly <br />from the Peroxide <br />Bottle <br />and at <br />the Work-Out <br />Gym.<br /><br />Lonnie Hicks<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/beauty-is-8/
