Behind the scenes where angels fly <br />Or walk like common man, <br />Are answers to the questions, 'Why? ' <br />That God has yet to plan... <br />For angels gather high above, <br />To mingle in the clouds, <br />Or sometimes stride this Earth with love, <br />To mingle with the crowds... <br /> <br />Beyond the dreams and visions sent, <br />Man sometimes sees much more, <br />Yet blessings aren't by accident, <br />Of that you can be sure... <br />No angel seeks his own reward, <br />No angel seeks his gain, <br />He merely seeks to serve the Lord, <br />So our lives aren't in vain... <br /> <br />That's why such stories still abound, <br />In films and on TV, <br />Wherever there were angels found <br />And they helped you and me... <br />Each has a highway here on Earth <br />That leads to Heaven's Throne <br />And angels help us prove our worth <br />And prove we're not alone... <br /> <br />If we admire what they do, <br />Perhaps we, too, are blessed, <br />Each time we help another through, <br />Or humbly do our best... <br />No wings have we, no harps to play, <br />Yet love dwells in each heart <br />And if we follow this each day, <br />God's love will never part... <br /> <br /> <br />Denis Martindale, copyright, February 2014. <br /> <br /> <br />The poem is based on the Gospel TV series, <br />Highway To Heaven, currently shown on <br />True Entertainment, UK TV, Freeview etc. <br /> <br /> <br />GOD.TV website and watch now details can <br />be found on Google.
