Oh! Shining grains of airborne purity,
Sparkle blown through black silver peppered night,
May all trees live beyond maturity,
Gossamer webs adorn green hedgerows tight,

May skylarks sing high above golden fields,
Lakes and rivers pour clean into blue seas,
May the fruit filled bounty each harvest yields,
Be shared along evening's suppered breeze,

May soaring birds dot the clear cobalt sky,
Fat puffins rest while huge shoals swell offshore,
May wildflowers sway among grasses high,
Each seed and egg produce a thousand more,

May Nature's wisdom govern night and day,
May humans accept it must be this way.

Anthony Di'anno

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/midnight-wishes/
