With eyes full of tears, <br />With ears that became <br />Semi deaf from <br />Hearing bad news, <br />I took daring steps <br />To investigate maps <br />Of different Arabic countries <br />That were once divided <br />In red and blue <br />Between France and England; <br />What was our curse: <br />Beauty and richness <br />Of land, weather <br />Or Culture. <br /> <br />What is it in us <br />That invite main powers <br />To hurt and kill <br />Our innocent people <br />In Syria, Sudan <br />Iraq and Yamane. <br /> <br />The so called <br />Terrorist that are <br />In fact ruthless <br />Butchers who <br />Slay human beings <br />In a worse way <br />Than an animal <br />Are unknowingly <br />Fulfilling what enemies <br />Want to accomplish; <br />This time no armies <br />Are invading us; <br />No need for such <br />An effort for <br />The dumb radical <br />Troops are doing <br />What no enemy <br /> Could do, I tried <br />Hard to hush <br />The voices questioning <br />Me, for no experience <br />Have I in the field, <br /> <br />As my hurt pride <br />Was wrestling <br />With fear from future <br />And anger from the sting <br />Tears washed the <br />Old map while waiting <br />In hopelessness <br />And helplessness <br />For it to be soon replaced <br />By a new one. <br /> <br />26 June 2014 <br /> <br />Jeddah<br /><br />nadia abduljabbar<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/neo-sykes-picot-improved-virsion/
