Darkness greets this unwelcome day, <br />Dreams of happiness fade away, <br />They're gone before the sun's first ray; <br />Tears are all I'm capable of..... <br />Yet, I will always love <br /> <br />At times, lacking the will to live, <br />When I have nothing left to give, <br />And solutions are elusive, <br />Hopelessness fits me like a glove..... <br />Yet, I will always love <br /> <br />When I say I'm happy, I lie, <br />Acknowledging my folly, I cry, <br />When my pain I learn to deny, <br />Reality gives me a shove..... <br />Yet, I will always love <br /> <br />I often walk through murky streams, <br />When hearing life's deafening screams <br />I hide in mists of poets' dreams, <br />Begging compassion from above..... <br />Yet, I will always love <br /> <br />I seek safety among the crowd <br />When old memories speak too loud, <br />When draped in life's turbulent shroud, <br />Why can't I find my peaceful dove? <br />And yet.....
