The day was fearful, sleep-less is the night, <br />Energy crisis has blackened the streets, <br />Terror is prevailing and there is no light, <br />Children are crying and forgotten their tweets. <br /> <br />Gun fires are heard, gun powder is smelt, <br />All are confined in their light-less houses, <br />Mosques are empty and the roads not dwelt. <br />Wives are waiting for the missing spouses. <br /> <br />All children above twelve have been kidnapped, <br />They are being trained to become the slaves, <br />Brain washing is on and hearts are trapped, <br />Merciless robots are prepared in the caves. <br /> <br />The virgin beauty of hills and snow, <br />Has been gang raped by infernal beasts, <br />Tourists don't come and economy doesn't grow, <br />Game of death is played by the priests. <br /> <br />They train to kill the women and children, <br />Cause they are fond of an uncalled war, <br />They will go to paradise after killing the men, <br />They will watch their family in the hell from far. <br /> <br />The children are asking for their dears, <br />And the helpless women have no reply, <br />The earth is shaking with tears and fears, <br />Watching silently, ignorant is sky. <br /> <br />The stars are shining like all other days, <br />The moon is bathing in the moonlit flood, <br />The sun will rise and disperse its rays, <br />It will set, unconcerned, in the lake of blood. <br /> <br />Slow is the nature but she rises at last, , <br />History is the witness that violence is returned, <br />Enjoy your killings, celebrate your blast, <br />Tomorrow your body will be watched unconcerned.<br /><br />Akhtar Jawad<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/cry-of-hills-and-snow/
