With malice towards none <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />When there are clouds in the sky <br />And seem likely to rain <br />And bring solace to me <br />You say it is contrary to reason <br />When a fruits laden tree sways <br />And me mercifully spares a mulberry <br />My mouth waters and my feet proceed <br />You say it is illusory <br />When sun rises and upon me shines <br />You say it is bigotry <br />When sun sets and brings in calmness <br />You say it is nothing but darkness <br />Shrouded with deadly dun <br />Engulfing me with an evil din <br />When in a stars-studded sky <br />Stars twinkle and give pleasures to all <br />Pensive I look aloft <br />You say I am mad and a rubbish poet <br />And when moon shying away <br />To sit on my brow <br />Asked how I look like <br />You say me as good as crow <br />And while cruising along a sea shore <br />Waves after waves splashing our feet <br />And sometimes going past our waist <br />Bring thrills of joy and happiness untold <br />I look at you in deep sea of your eyes <br />To measure the fathoms of love you abide <br />I find only weeds, weeds, weeds <br />Where are the pearls <br />With which I shall be thrilled…. <br />And you say with all excuses <br />They are all mere jokes <br />And I suspect them hell of crooks <br />Friend you are not my friend <br />You are a natural foe <br />Born to add to my woes <br />Walking with me along on every occasion <br />Smiling at me with lips half-open <br />Do veil your real intentions………..<br /><br />DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/with-malice-towards-none-2/
