A sleep <br />- - - - - - <br />Of all the sleeps <br />That has been bestowed on us <br />The sleep of an angle <br />Charms me most <br />And all others <br />Either scare or lure more <br />A day is born <br />Followed by noon <br />Even and night soon <br />And my young heart <br />Goes to sleep <br />With many a dream worn <br />Oh night quiet night <br />What fault is yours? <br />That should I thee scorn <br />For suffusing so much dreams <br />Purple, red, yellow and brown <br />And lasting till daybreak <br />Till dawn when awake <br />Headlong I stumbled upon <br />An object unknown <br />Thinking to be my dream of love <br />Not long long ago <br />In my sleep came alone <br />Dreams are wines <br />Youth loves to gulp down <br />But the hangover is known <br />To have heart broken down <br />Since then I have prayed God <br />To bless me with the sleep of a baby angel <br />Where calmness reigns, <br />Holiness shines <br />And beauty rhymes……..<br /><br />DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-sleep-3/
