My day begins darkly and dreary. <br />Gloomy days with falling rain can be, <br />so painful to my heart. <br />I want to go back to my dreams, <br />on gloomy days like today. <br /> <br /> <br />But wait! <br /> <br /> <br />The sound of rain, <br />striking on my window pane. <br />calls to me to open my eyes. <br />and to rise up and fly to, <br />the window frame. <br /> <br /> <br />With eyes wide open. <br />I see a river of rain, <br />in the streets. <br />My ears than hear, " quack quack..." <br />My eyes see a raft of ducks, <br />floating down the street. <br /> <br /> <br />How can this be? <br />My gloomy day has turned into, <br />an upbeat day by, <br />watching some quacking ducks, <br />playing in the rain. <br /> <br /> <br />Yay! <br />This is a happy day.<br /><br />Ronald Chapman<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/gloomy-day-6/
