To give your life for nation's sake <br />Is patriotism par excellence; <br />To love your Motherland is prime <br />-A duty of each citizen; <br /> <br />Though many lived a selfish life, <br />Courageous few had sacrificed their lives; <br />If not for freedom-fighters brave, <br />Could we now till our sacred soil? <br /> <br />A red-letter day is that day <br />When we had won our precious independence; <br />We ought to always remember <br />Those lovely souls who set us free! <br />Jai Hind!
