I always thought
If you were the warp
I was the weft
If you were the oars
I was the raft.

If I were a needle
You be my thread
Never alone
Any path will I tread

With all my heart
My head and soul
You were my priority
The sole reason
I loved my identity

My beautiful heart
Was the reason
You said I was loved
So now what has changed
Did my heart get frayed and aged

Moving on
Without looking back
I saw your foot prints
Made on treacherous track

Now that you have got
All the bridges burnt
I'll never be found
Try hard, even if you
To search and hunt.

Some parts of me
That got rubbed on to you
Are stains on your conscience
Impossible to. Wash through

From a strong immutable log
To powdered powerless saw dust
I am that piece of iron
Weathered, and changed to rust

Why It all happened to me
In hindsight I can now see
For in one wrong person
I laid all my love my trust

Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/broken-550/
