I'm a dolphin who has found, <br />Love in the shape of a hound. <br />His name is Ben, <br />And he comes to see me again, <br />And again. <br />Oh, how I adore, <br />This golden Labrador, <br />Who waits upon the shore. <br />He's given me a new start, <br />And healed my broken heart. <br />Whatever the weather, <br />We try to get together. <br />If only he could squeak, <br />And had a nose more like a beak. <br />I've always liked to bougie, <br />Perhaps that's why they called me Doogie. <br />Our dog and dolphin dance, <br />Is part of a true romance. <br />I really do admire, <br />How he never seems to tire. <br />It's been a long wait, <br />To find my soul mate. <br />I love his furry coat, <br />More than waves behind a boat. <br />The BBC, <br />Put us on TV, <br />In a programme called Country Life, <br />With me as a dog's wife! <br />National Geographic, <br />Marvelled at my peculiar pick, <br />But I'm sure you'll agree, <br />There's real love in this sea.<br /><br />Stephen Katona<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-dolphin-dances-with-a-dog/
