I listen to the song you do <br />and think that possibly <br />it's playing in your brain <br />at the same time. <br />I listen to it <br />and I lie down and <br />feel as though you yourself <br />are the one comforting me <br />and sitting on the bed <br />feeling for me. <br />What could these lyrics mean <br />to you I wonder and I am left to <br />comfort myself with the lies <br />that maybe these lyrics <br />remind me of you. <br />But then again that could not <br />possibly be true, <br />and I put the song <br />on repeat <br />and I fall asleep. <br />You stand by my bedside <br />in reproach. <br />I dream that you are not. <br /> <br />This is not how you <br />meant it to be. <br />But this is how I always <br />knew it would be.<br /><br />B.B.
