When you far sat in that room where <br />happiness and pain merges one, <br />I came to see you off, for i had to <br />go then, i had to move on, and do you <br />know? - in that room where you sat with <br />your head tilted over the window, lost in <br />my thoughts, i had cried long enough to <br />have the time even stop for a moment, <br />there in one corner, i had waited for you, i <br />had waited for you to wake up and embrace me <br />one last time in your tender arms and cry <br />with me for a moment too, but you kept <br />sleeping and i kept watching you; you kept <br />thinking of the things that would never happen <br />and i kept thinking of the things that <br />happened long ago and at sometime i also <br />saw a glimmer of smile in your lips, maybe- <br />i had been with you at that moment, <br />time passed by stealthily taking with it <br />some more moments of delay but finally- <br />i had to get up and kiss you one last time <br />and promise to come back again, now- <br />i am among the stars and you still there <br />lying and dreaming of the uncertain things, <br />i wish you never wake, but keep smiling <br />like that forever, and even if you wake up <br />i wish you don't cry when you don't find <br />me there in that room but you will know <br />that i had come there when you were slept <br />far abode for i left a tiny flower of <br />love upon your lips.<br /><br />Piyush Dey<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-departed-and-you-kept-dreaming/
