(9) <br />A peacock belonging to Mr. Ward <br />wanders into Mr. Lee's yard <br />and lays an egg. Now help me see, <br />does the egg belong to Ward or Lee? <br /> <br />(10) <br />Albert the miner got lost one sad day, <br />and in a blizzard he wandered away. <br />For hours he trudged in the snow and the sleet <br />and had near-frozen hands and feet. <br />At last he stumbled upon a shack. <br />The front door was locked but he got in the back <br />and found a candle, a stove and a lamp. <br />The stove had wood, just a little bit damp. <br />The lamp had oil, and the candle was long, <br />but in his blurry mind there was something wrong. <br />He had just one match and was dying of thirst; <br />now help him decide: which one to light first? <br /> <br />(11) <br />Two scientists, named Smith and Jones <br />were digging there among the bones. <br />Suddenly Smith exclaimed with glee: <br />'I've found a coin marked twelve B.C.!
