With the moon hanging in its full-lit grandeur <br />She appears before me in bridal finery <br />At last the wait is over, thrills stretch over me <br />This beautiful reunion, for so long I longed for. <br /> <br />I am steeped in a boundless joy <br />She appears only to take me to a new world <br />The sweet bond grows by the hour, we both feel, <br />A new world descends, one of peace and eternal bliss. <br /> <br />Both will sail to the world of endless mirth <br />Heart swells, eagerness bounces in expectation <br />Today I am fearless as she is my guide <br />And now ready for an unknown adventure. <br /> <br />People cannot hold themselves as we depart <br />All cares, love and affection for them are on hold <br />Past bond with near and dear ones fades as morning dew <br />Tears well up in my eyes, memory gathers as bubbles. <br /> <br />I have neither regret, no remorse in life <br />Whatever role given I have played well <br />I will happily leave for a new world <br />I leave for a new role, a role for a greater world.<br /><br />Bireswar Halder<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/reunion-51/
