Laura Raimondo - Fears, Flaws, Fate

Life is so bittersweet. Good and bad rely on each other, making it possible to distinguish your feelings. When you are in a moment so strong that it intoxicates your senses, it is showing wether it is joy or sorrow. That's why love hurts so bad; it must compensate somehow to make it possible to love so thoroughly in the first place. You feel so on top of the world, invincible, nothing could hurt you. They make it possible to see beauty in everything, nothing is as sweet when they are not around. So when it ends now you have to break and be so alone. How else could love ever feel sweet again. Now it's gone, the tide has washed over you leaving you drained, leaving you for the undercurrent to take away. If you can find the strength too, stay down when you get knocked down. Don't always put on your brave face, let the pain linger. If you push it away and bounce back to quickly, then you only make it harder. Feel it fully, and then you will naturally be better overtime. It will disperse and leave even more room for new bliss.
That is the easy part to follow, life makes it a lot harder then that. All humans have fears, that is what makes us human, fears, flaws, and faith. You fear what you have no control over, or better yet; the unknown. Not knowing will drive you mad, those become your flaws. Every mishap you have becomes the blame of one of your 'flaws'. The only one who sees all your flaws are you, they're in fact not flaws at all. They're your image of perfection that society put in your brain. That's why faith is a fatal aspect of life, without it you could not balance out your fears, and flaws. Except its fucked up, all three are man made concept. We brainwash ourselves to believe we are not perfect. But that's wrong, we are the perfect versions of ourselves. We are unique, perfectly unique. No two of us the same.

Laura Raimondo

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/fears-flaws-fate/
