I brought deadly spray, <br />Poisonous and suffocating, <br />With a smell too irritating, <br />The spray killed the insects, <br />But its aftereffects! <br />Breathing problems, <br />That annoyed me, <br />More than the insects, <br />The insects were killed, <br />And I survived, <br />But my precious life, <br />Was reduced by, <br />Many days! <br /> <br />What could I do? <br />Was it written in my fate? <br />Is it a cycle by Him? <br />A check, <br />On growing population! <br />The law of nature, <br />Survival of the fittest, <br />Is it still enforced? <br />If it is so? <br />Let the insects prepare, <br />To be destroyed anytime, <br />By spray of weapons, <br />The nuclear weapons! <br />And let the beasts survive, <br />To face breathing problems, <br />On a barren earth, <br />With no milk in her breasts! <br /> <br />(This is my 200th poem submitted on poemhunter.com and it is written on a possible destruction of human race by nuclear weapons)<br /><br />Akhtar Jawad<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-spray/
