It's all your fault, Hank.
It's you I have to thank.
Years ago I did write
poems, and then for quite
a few, I stopped. Maybe
I would never have written another
but then you helped me discover
Poem Hunter. It seems crazy
to consider, that for me,
a former quitter, finding glee
in picking up a pen
and coming up with rhymes again
is like being given the pick of the litter.
(Farmers will know what I mean by that.)
Now my poems flow at the drop of a hat.
I start to write and just can't stop.
When I've the urge, I feel I'll pop
if I don't let them out.
There is not one small doubt
that it is your fault, Hank,
and I have you to thank.

Kim Barney

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/your-fault-10/
