Don't say good night, <br />See the full moon, <br />It's soothing and bright, <br />It's cold on the skies, <br />It's cold in the air, <br />It's cold on the earth, <br />It's cold on the sea, <br />It's cold in the garden, <br />See, the air is crying, <br />The drops of dew, <br />So many not a few, <br />On the leaves and flowers, <br />Are tears of the moon! <br />He is hot inside, <br />So away from the earth, <br />He is asking her, <br />Why did you say, <br />Good night to me, <br />Now only I can see, <br />From the distant skies, <br />All that which I kissed, <br />When I was in embrace, <br />Oh Dear Earth! <br />Don't you regret? <br />How wrongly we departed, <br />The earth is sad, <br />She couldn't reply, <br />But tears of her eyes, <br />Were burst as streams, <br />And the falls of tears, <br />From the breast of the earth, <br />Flown on her body, <br />And fell in the ocean. <br />In her heart so grieved, <br />The regret of earth, <br />Still appears, <br />But they cannot meet, <br />Once more for love! <br /> <br />Walk bare footed, <br />On the grass it is wet, <br />Let the grass kiss, <br />Your soft white feet, <br />I hope the stars, <br />Will enjoy this romance, <br />Kiss the petals, <br />Of wet pink roses, <br />Have a cool lighted shower, <br />Of lovely moon light, <br />Wear a contrast of pink and green, <br />And keep these bangles, <br />In smooth soft wrist, <br />Let them strike for music, <br />And wind will sing the song of love, <br />Let the breeze touch and kiss, <br />All corners in you, <br />Rest will be done, <br />By the naughty nature, <br />And I hope a withdrawal, <br />Of your sudden good night! <br />Or otherwise, <br />I may go to skies, <br />Like a moon so grieved, <br />Leaving behind, <br />Regret for you!<br /><br />Akhtar Jawad<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/don-t-say-good-night/
