Forgiveness <br />- - - - - - - - - <br />Do you knock <br />Your teeth off <br />When they bite your tongue <br />When they are part of us <br />And everyone is a part <br />Of this Cosmic World <br />Where is room then <br />For resentment and anger <br />To give shoulder cold <br /> <br />There is always a fight <br />Between the Divine <br />And the Demonic forces <br />Within our mind <br />Divinity is kindness and <br />Love and forgiveness <br />Demonic is envy and <br />Cruelty and narrowness <br />They come to our <br />Mind's inner chamber <br />And try to steal <br />All the valuables like <br />Love, compassion and kindness <br />Stored carefully over the years <br /> <br />They are more than gold mines <br />But the thieves demonic reject <br />Them as practically <br />Nothing worth stealing <br />Hence rudely accost the mind <br />Demanding to know <br />Where the valuables are lying <br />Getting no response <br />The miscreants begin attacking it <br /> <br />Awakened by the commotion <br />A few emotions rush into the mind's room <br />And being appalled by the sight <br />They see the thieves taking to their heel in no time <br />Then they decide to pursue the miscreant <br />But do not go after them my dear <br />Pause and reflect a minute <br />For if your teeth bite your tongue <br />Do you knock them off a bit?<br /><br />DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/forgiveness-167/
