I look down toward earth <br />I had anxiety to know after death <br />I was eager to know about small daughters <br />I had left them behind to be looked after <br /> <br />Now they are grown up <br />and of marriageable age <br />ready to share new life with strangers <br />I felt proud of being mother <br /> <br />I had met with death <br />And breathed last <br />When delivery turned different <br />The twins were born but I was absent <br /> <br />Everybody resented my early departure <br />And thought of bleak future <br />Who will look after new born? <br />And life of new born shall stand torn etc <br /> <br />I took courage and thought <br />Where will they be right now? <br />I could not recognize them <br />They were almost same like me <br /> <br />I felt happy <br />About their change already <br />They might have missed at memory <br />I felt so sad and sorry<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/towards-earth/
