Of all that verse has given me <br />There is the sweetness of <br />The bitter. <br /> <br />The sad of life that turned <br />To desperate. <br /> <br />The eyes bent downwards to <br />The earth <br />As the red dusk departed <br />From earth's field <br />And twilight waters fast <br />Transformed to a deep black. <br /> <br />The tragedy is done! <br /> <br />To perish <br />In the lone night <br />As practicable <br />I go to the cemetery <br />Direct <br />This night <br />To meet the new inhabitants <br />And peers. <br /> <br />Desperation is bitter but <br />Resignation sweet. <br /> <br />Desperation looks down <br />Resignation humbly <br />Raises again from the fall <br />Its eyes to the skies. <br /> <br />Desperation is confusion <br />In brain at most. <br /> <br />Resignation starts <br />Restoring ideas of clarity <br />A clear eyed dawn <br />After the hacking night. <br /> <br />Desperation hacks wild at <br />Serenity. <br /> <br />Resignation starts humbly <br />Serenity. <br /> <br />I know it. <br /> <br />I know it, <br />All, my Monsignor, <br />You have to learnt it.<br /><br />Emmanuel George Cefai<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/of-all-that-verse-has-given-me/
