ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: The U.S. Navy released new video on Thursday (October 30) showing air operations from aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, aimed at fighting Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. The video was shot on Monday (October 27).<br/> <br />Sailors aboard the USS Carl Vinson conducted flight operations in the Gulf as part of what the U.S. military calls "Operation Inherent Resolve".<br/> <br />The San Diego-based aircraft carrier, the USS Carl Vinson, took over air operations and relieved the USS George H.W. Bush, in the Gulf on October 19.
