Across the city to the Meadows <br />A treasure which it holds <br />is a lovely golden garden <br />of blossoming Marigolds, <br /> <br />A soft breeze <br />blows the leaves away <br />and makes the <br />lovely Marigolds sway, <br /> <br />the flowers sparkle <br />in the daylight <br />with their soft green stems <br />and petals with colours bright, <br /> <br />Now the dying time is near <br />for these lovely Marigolds <br />as these delacite flowers cannot <br />survive the winter cold, <br /> <br />But as the summer arrives <br />they will blossom once more <br />and these Lovely Marigolds will <br />again cover the grassy floor.<br /><br />Saumya Gilra<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/marigolds-3/
