.........................................Apology for my ignorance <br />What is it with this starting verse? <br />Standing all alone on the far right of my poem? <br />And is trying hard to duplicate my poem's title below! <br /> <br />Apology for My Ignorance <br /> <br />Pardon me if I cannot find the clues, <br />In each jigsaw puzzle made from words. <br />My eyes are weary and I can't seem to <br />Solve the algebra equations in poetry. <br />Could some one please enlighten me? <br />Have I been on the wrong path all along? <br />For English is not my mother tongue. <br />Should I change my opening line position? <br />From the extreme right, to the left side of my poem <br />No pun here intended, for my leaning has been to the left, <br />I help the blindfolded lady balance the scale of justice. <br />No insult meant by this comment on my part. <br />My eyes like my heart are having difficulty <br />Zigzagging through someone else's righteous field of vision, <br />Have pity on this seeking soul of mine <br />And let me unwrap freely my poetic lines <br />No matter what the consequences are <br />And in spite of my use of incorrect grammar <br />That makes me look foolish at time, or being out of line, <br />Having heart after all is what really counts, <br />For God in his wisdom has given you and me <br />And all His creation a unique poetic voice. <br /> <br />Oct 12 2011 <br />Copyright Leaking Pen 2011 <br />Rev Nov 2 2014<br /><br />Leaking Pen<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/apology-for-my-ignorance/
