We make monsters in our head <br />to scare us in our sleep. <br />Dragons in the night <br />that haunt our dreams, <br />but in reality we know <br />there is nothing there. <br />Our nightmares is our imagination <br />playing tricks on our mind, <br />but when we awake <br />we find nothing there. <br />We're told tales when we were young <br />that if we did not behave <br />the bogey man or such <br />would come and claim us, <br />but they were only stories. <br />Yet we believed them to be true <br />and remembered them as we grew <br />as dragons in the night. <br /> <br /> <br />11 October 2014<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dragons-of-the-night/
