The tinges of autumn, <br />sweep across my eyes; <br />golden aspens shining, <br />under azure skies. <br /> <br />Gold against the evergreen, <br />frame the blue above; <br />and on the currents of the air, <br />there is riding love. <br /> <br />In the brace of breezes, <br />in the coolness of the morn; <br />silent music fills the heavens, <br />as another day is born. <br /> <br />At the view of vast horizons, <br />that spread out to kiss the eye; <br />I envy hawks that soar the air, <br />wishing too, that I could fly. <br /> <br />But I see visions they cannot, <br />and music they can't hear; <br />happy I am, a child of God, <br />and that's enough for me to cheer.<br /><br />David Lessard<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/autumn-song-15/
