It was one of those days <br />As busy as ever <br />Rushing here and there <br />Trying to meet <br />Deadlines that were pre-set <br />Typical me, doing too much <br />Being stressed <br />The phone rang and I wasn't in the mood <br />For another time waster <br />I was abrasive and a bit rude <br />The other was silky and smooth <br />This struck me at once <br />How could she be so sweet <br />When I'm being such an a*** <br />I was so impressed <br />I wondered who she was <br />What age and status <br />Ahh alas it's a one off <br />But she rang again <br />On other matters <br />This time I was nicer <br />I yearned to hear that voice so much <br />Months passed quiet a few <br />I changed jobs and guess what <br />The first person I met <br />On my first day <br />Was her of the voice on the line <br />You can imagine my surprise <br />When she told me her name <br />I couldn't stop looking at her eyes <br />How lucky am I <br />And what an a*** I was <br />I'll never forget that voice over the phone <br />And how bad I behaved that day <br />Today we're friends and hope for more <br />If she can ever forgive me, I hope <br />I know I'm lucky to have met <br />My one and only angel <br />I wonder what she'd think <br />If she knew how I feel.<br /><br />Holly Moon<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-remember-when-12/
