Ahmedabad: India’s first commercial amphibious vehicle will soon be launched at Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad. A 16-seater vehicle will be driven straight from land to water. It has been purchased from Shangyu Bonai Motor Boat Manufacturing Co Ltd in Zhejiang province of China at a cost of around Rs. 80 lakh. Parking facility and ramp on lower promenade will be required to operate the vehicle. The vehicle will have speed of 20 to 25 knots per hour.
