Matthew Moser - An Angry Sea

2014-11-04 1 Dailymotion

Anger rose in my chest like a wave of despair,
Holding back in my own self denial and then rushing in leaving me without air,
Panic rose to hiding like a raft in the back of the scene,
Worried about what might happen if the anger broke free,
I look, not a frustrated look but rather one of rage,
The beast wants to take hold, to break out of it cage,
How dare he? What made him think?
That if he messed with me he would still survive? His boat will sink,
Raging sky flash over head, he falls and breaks, his eyes bloodshot red,
And as I look at him my anger subsides,
In its place a pity takes his side,
I reach out try to help his broke pride,
But it was his boat and has fallen to the bottom of the reef,
I reach to pull him out, but he won't believe,
He thinks it's a trick,
And he sinks, and dies,
And I stand there my pity turned to grief,
I looked out and saw a red sun come over, the white capped, angry sea.

Matthew Moser

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/an-angry-sea/
