The sun fades into a darkened sky <br />And the moon greets the night <br />The winds in the trees and the owl's cry <br />Makeing way for an evening of fright <br /> <br />For it's Halloween and the nights begun <br />Under the clouds that have darkened the <br />sky above <br />Family and friends all having fun <br />Collecting candy of all sorts just because <br /> <br />Ghosts and goblins, blood and gore <br />All lined up at your front door <br />Waiting for a trick or waiting for a treat <br />And some will wait just to ask for more <br /> <br />Is this a night that represents evil <br />Or is it just an excuse to play and pretend <br />The night you'll see costumes on all kinds <br />of people <br />And lots and lots of children with faces of <br />grins <br /> <br />So just look the other way <br />When you see faces filled with disgust <br />For they just simply do not know how to have <br />fun <br />There probably the one's who sit around <br />while their bible collects dust <br />Because their mouth is the only thing that <br />runs!<br /><br />Katherine Perry<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-halloween-meant-for-fun/
