From The Land Down-Under

G'day from the Land Down Under,
A place of awe and sheer wonder…..
The humble vegemite sandwich
And our weird 'Strine' language.

Of giant, jumping kangaroos,
And funny, fluffy-bummed emus;
They sure can’t fly but I’m telling you,
They can run the pants off a kangaroo!

Of beautiful black people, Aborigines,
Traditional Owners of The Antipodes,
Right back to our continent’s early start;
Recorded in their unique and magnificent art!

A land of deserts and rich red & brown soil,
Wealth aplenty for all who are want to toil;
There’s freedom to be breathed, in our warm air
Whilst all around, beauty abounds in a Land so fair!

Of mountains and lush rainforests green,
Blue rivers and lakes among sights to be seen’
And surrounded by seas of torquoise & tropic blues,
Adding to a thousand of nature’s richest hues!

Topped by boundless sky of azure blue,
Lit at night, by a million stars, shining new.
With a giant red rock, “Dead Centre, ” – Uluru!
So much to enjoy, no wonder we “shoot through, ”
Each weekend – outdoors, always something to do!

So, whether its beaches or cities, rainforest or Dead Centre,
You’ll always find a warm and friendly 'Come, Enter!
