So here I am silently <br />Moonlight peering in <br />Trapped inside my suffering <br />In my box again <br /> <br />Thoughts free flowing through my head <br />Of who I am and where I've been <br />Try so hard to keep you out <br />Yet and still I let you in <br /> <br />Shadows from the darkness <br />Dancing on the walls <br />Subtle retribution <br />Echoing throughout it all <br /> <br />My creative well is broken <br />I'm allowed no reprieve <br />The silence becomes deafening <br />And the walls begin to breathe <br /> <br />Searching for absolution <br />Nothing is all I see <br />The little insomniac <br />Ooh, lucky me <br /> <br />The hours tick pass slowly <br />My head has settled down <br />My body feels so heavy <br />Like the bones beneath the ground <br /> <br />Looking at the manuscript <br />My brain decides to bleed <br />And sleep comes to welcome me <br />Until it decides to leave<br /><br />Kristen Brown<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/paranoia-agent-poetry-in-memoriam/
