The yawning sky accompanies <br />the cries and the beating bell <br />of the barefoot prophet. <br /> <br />Wavering like the wind, <br />a strange specter in the horizon <br />adorned in a white robe flowing. <br /> <br />'Repent of your sins <br />for near is the end! ' <br /> <br />His wails, the waves <br />bear though barred windows <br />rousing sinners from slumber deep. <br /> <br />They sneer at the seer <br />who daily tramps on their repose <br />with his ravings. <br /> <br />But the *Celestial steers not <br />the sluggish sand, trudging <br />his feet bare; his mission clear. <br /> <br />*A member of the Celestial Church in Nigeria.
