As one season closes <br />so another begins. <br />As the grey skies of winter <br />open up to the blue ones of spring <br />and the new growth it brings <br />followed by the brightness of summer <br />and the dying colours of autumn <br />before winter touches us again. <br /> <br />Our lives follow the pattern <br />with our birth and childhood <br />before it leads us into our youth <br />when we aspire to all things wonderful <br />and our golden days of adult hood <br />where our dreams aspire <br />before old age captures us <br />and death takes us to be reborn again. <br /> <br /> <br />11 October 2014<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/as-one-season-closes/
