Four of the top five most powerful people on Forbes' 2014 list are leaders of influential countries.<br/> <br />For the second year running, Russia's president, Vladimir Putin tops the list as the most powerful person in the world.<br/> <br />Russia's invasion of Crimea and an oil pipeline deal with China are two of several reasons for the former KGB officer's ranking.<br/> <br />Two women scored top ten places; Germany's Chancellor, Angela Merkel is number five and U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen is sixth on the list.<br/> <br />Business leaders are also considered globally dominant.<br/> <br />Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin are in the top ten.<br/> <br />Factors considered for the 72-person list are the amount of people, finances and influence the candidates have power over.
