Richard D. Remler - The Fires of Capernaum

2014-11-05 8 Dailymotion

Your Empire lies in ruins.
Your mighty walls are torn down.
Your King has been defeated,
With no trusted allies 'round.

Your Royal House and Tributaries,
And Royal Scepter, which shined as one,
Once a beacon to the nations,
A light far brighter than the sun.

So strong in all her glory,
Envied and feard the kingdoms wide.
Oh, the God you mocked in your vanity
Has laid waste your countryside.

Your Temple Mount and golden Idols,
Which you built above all man,
To exalt and glorify you,
Now sinks into the desert sand.

The quaking earth and raging sea
Hide somber, tragic tales of thee.
The alters where you spilled blood on stone,
Now lie burried with the sand and bone.

It is over, O' Capernaum.
For all the world to see.
The God you mocked in your vain pride
Has claimed your immortality.

Richard D.
