In Italy, hundreds of residents have been evacuated from the northern Tuscan city of Carrara after heavy rainfall led to widespread flooding.<br /><br />Around 180 millimetres of rain fell in three hours, flooding the lower floors of many houses and factories in Carrara, famous for its marble.
