You know, I've come to a realisation <br /> <br />We're all like tiny little birds in a cage <br /> <br />Our parents, our guardians- they put us there <br /> <br />They put us in a cage, trying to protect us <br /> <br />Sadly, they don't know what happens to us <br /> <br />We become too dependent <br /> <br />Sooner or later, they will clip our wings- so as we cannot fly free from their grasps <br /> <br />Those of us whose feathers have not been ruffled, we do not even attempt to leave <br /> <br />We have gotten too used to our familiar surroundings, we wouldn't want to leave a place that offers food, drink and protection <br /> <br />As I said, we've grown too dependent <br /> <br />But I want to do something <br /> <br />I want to raise these clipped wings <br /> <br />I want to raise them into the air <br /> <br />And FLY <br /> <br />I want to be DIFFERENT from the others <br /> <br />I want to FLY <br /> <br />I want to become independent <br /> <br />To fly with clipped wings... <br /> <br />Everybody would try to follow me too <br /> <br />Soon, the whole sky we see would be flocked with birds, trying their luck <br /> <br />Although, we can't <br /> <br />We have, see, a metal cage we can't pass through just yet <br /> <br />Every sky has a limit <br /> <br />That metal cage is ours <br /> <br />I'm trying, every single day, to break that metal cage <br /> <br />I fight for what I am worth <br /> <br />I fight for myself <br /> <br />I fight for everybody elses' courage <br /> <br />I fight for- no, because, I want to make a mark in this world<br /><br />Fye Tsuki<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/let-s-find-our-freedom/
