It's Christmas time yet again, and as I sit in the sleet and rain <br />I think of the sun, of years gone by; when we would swim and laugh, have a braai <br />All of the people who have passed away made this a very special day <br />The joy the laughter the silly songs, Bols and Castle, and of course, biltong <br />Dad singing White Christmas and longing for snow, us being jealous little did we know! <br />Mom sentimental and making the day, she always did that in her own special way. <br />So now I guess it's up to me, to make Christmas memories for my own family <br />So I raise my glass to you with Christmas Cheer, May you all be blessed and Happy New Year!<br /><br />Liz Bedford<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/homesick-20/
