Something left my life in shadows. <br />The shadow’s of my past the pain too much to bear. <br />All seemed lost, <br />Just me and them <br />Though the hope of aid came from the most unlikely place. <br />From one that I call a friend <br /> <br />Never had I seen such courage and strength come from one person. <br />Yet it seemed she needed more help then I. <br />There is no way I could repay her from saving me from the dark. <br />She made the light shine on a dark and strange place. <br />Made me stronger and more mindful of what a life I truly have. <br />Though she does not know it, <br />She has helped me more then you could imagine. <br />She helped me to become who I am today. <br /> <br />Jane came to my aid. <br /> <br />And I thank her for what she has done.<br /><br />David de Haas<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/who-came-to-my-aid/
