A sky of grizzly angry grey <br />Foreboding, opens up the day. <br />The butterflies, the wasp, the bee, <br />The birds that should be on the tree, <br />Stay hidden, loath to venture out. <br />The spider dallies in the spout. <br />Flower petals stay shut tight, <br />Still waiting for the end of night. <br />And then appears a patch of blue, <br />The clouds relax to let it through <br />And slow but sure out comes the sun <br />And suddenly the day's begun - <br />A summer day of life and hope, <br />Despondent once, now all can cope. <br />The flowers open up and smile. <br />All life returns - in country-style.<br /><br />Terry Donovan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/life-country-style/
