Today I cried a little, as I called my little girl <br /> and saw her waiting by the stairs <br /> Wedding blossoms in her hair <br /> How gently I had touched her baby skin so fair <br /> When she cried I soothed her in my rocking chair <br /> The cares were many each step of the way <br /> As love and laughter knelt to pray <br /> That she would always be our queen <br /> The parenting years just seventeen <br /> So like time, she moved away <br /> Sharing our love with a lads today <br /> The memories she left us as I called from the stairs <br /> We love you big girl with Wedding blossoms in your hair<br /><br />Eleanor J.
