Steven my grandson is my pride and joy.
A happy, fun-loving, and bright little boy.
Bright red hair, eyes of green
He looks a picture when first seen.
When he's in trouble he sits with a frown
Then he gets up and jumps up and down.
He handcuffed his dog Hamish to a chair
Hamish just sat with a mournful stare.
I don't know how often his Mother has said
Any more nonsense and you're off to bed
Steven says sorry and promises to be good
Then he forgets and starts being rude.
So off to bed Steven must go
His face seems to lose all of its glow.
The blinds are pulled down when it's still light.
Steven's having another early night.
If I didn't have Steven, what would I do?
I wouldn't change him, who would? Would you?

Elizabeth Tees

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/steven/
